In a spiritually uplifting event, Uganda Christian University (UCU) Arua Campus welcomed a delegation from Glory Train Ministries International, a global evangelical mission, for a powerful gathering with university staff and administrators.

The visit, marked by prayers, testimonies, and prophetic declarations, emphasized the role of faith in academia and the divine purpose of Christian education.

The meeting, held at the UCU Arua Campus, brought together lecturers, administrative staff, and the visiting team from Glory Train Ministries, comprising members from Nigeria, the Netherlands, Kenya, Uganda, and other nations.

In his opening remarks, Chaplain of UCU Arua Campus highlighted UCU’s mission as a Christ-centered institution, urging the staff to remain steadfast in nurturing students both academically and spiritually.

One of the key speakers, Cyprian from Kenya, shared a moving testimony about his university days and how a lack of spiritual mentorship affected young believers.

Quoting Proverbs 1:7 ("The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge"), he challenged UCU to strengthen its Christian Union and discipleship programs, ensuring that students grow in faith as they pursue education.

“A university that invests in both academic and spiritual growth produces holistic leaders,” Cyprian stated.

He commended UCU for its values but encouraged deeper involvement of faith in daily university operations.

Bishop Temitope Agba, the leader of Glory Train Ministries, drew parallels between UCU and historic Christian universities like Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, which were originally founded to train pastors and godly leaders.

He reminded the staff that many students are sent to UCU divinely—some to be shielded from destruction and others to fulfill great destinies.

“Some students come here marked for greatness, and God has entrusted them to you,” Bishop Temitope said.

“Your role as lecturers, counselors, and administrators is to preserve, guide, and inspire them in the fear of God.”

He shared his personal journey—from studying in a humble Nigerian school with no chairs to becoming a globally recognized minister—as proof that God elevates those who remain faithful in small beginnings.

Bishop Temitope declared, “This university will produce solutions for Uganda and beyond. Your research, your teachings, and your faith will bring transformation!”

The visit concluded with a strong call for UCU to stand firm as a beacon of Christian education in West Nile and beyond.

The Glory Train Ministries team expressed hope for future engagements, especially when students return for the new semester.

As the staff and guests exchanged gratitude, the resounding message was clear: UCU Arua is not just an academic institution—it is a divine training ground for future leaders who will impact nations.
