Plans are underway to establish two more High court circuits in West Nile region a move that is aimed at reducing case backlog in the regional high court. The Development was disclosed by Justice Dr. Flavian   Zeija the Principle Judge during Arua High court Open day at the Arua high court premises.  The day was also used to sensitize the public on among other things small Claims Procedures and Mediation. Justice Zeija disclosed that one will be in Moyo and the other in Adjumani. 

Justice Zeija also issued a stern warning to judicial officers and other court staffs to desist from corruption and acts of incompetence or risk facing disciplinary action. 

Issa Sserunkuma the outgoing Arua Resident High Court judge meanwhile noted that the region has been facing challenges of staffing since there are only three Chief Magistrates instead of the recommended Five. He however noted that a number of achievements have been registered particularly in curbing corruption in the Judiciary. 

Wadri Sam Nyakua the Mayor of Arua City meanwhile commended the Principle Judge for committing competent judicial staff in the person of Issa Serunkuma who has improved the performance of the court and reduced case back log.

The incoming High court Judge Collins Acellam committed himself to work tirelessly with diligence to ensure the people of the region receive the best Judicial services.
