160 youths under the DINU - Development initiative For Northern Uganda [DINU] program have graduated in Vocational skills at Adraa Agricultural College in Madi Okollo district under.

During the graduation ceremony on Friday 20th/01/2023 at the college, the principle of Adraa Agricultural College, Mr. Charles Leguu explained that the youth that benefited from the program were identified in the five district of Zombo, Nebbi, Pakwach, Madi Okollo and the greater Arua.

He further stressed that the youth were trained on Bee keeping, Vegetable farming, Poultry and piggery which was fully sponsored by the  Office of Prime minister OPM under the Development  Initiative  for  Northern Uganda [DINU] youth skilling program supported by European Union.

Development initiative for Northern Uganda [DINU] Program was designed by the government of Uganda to support Economic growth of Northern Uganda and it was funded by European Union at a tune 130 million Euros which was later translated in 2016 into Uganda currency worth 570 billion shillings.

The program is having three components of; Skilling, governance and Agricultural processing. The zonal coordinator of office of Prime   Minister [OPM], Mrs. Beatrice Arach urged the youth put into practice what they have learnt.

The chairperson of Pakwach district who doubles as the vice chairperson Of WENDA, Stean Omitu equally   to the youth not to sleep on the knowledge they had obtained.

The state minister of Northern Uganda, Grace   Kwiocwiny revealed that   they have trained 1300 youth under the program in Northern Uganda and given start up kids.

One of the youth beneficiaries of the program that was trained on Apiary, Victor Bidong, resident of Panyango Sub County in Pakwach district believes that the knowledge he has acquired will transform his lives.

The over 160 youth that completed the three months training were awarded certificates of completions and also given start up kids and expected to start their work immediately.
