Arua Regional Referral Hospital management has handed over the construction site of the regional blood bank to Development infrastructure [ID] the contractor.
During the ceremony at Arua Regional Referral Hospital on Monday Morning 19th/12/2022 at the hospital board room, the hospital director of the of Arua Regional Referral hospital, Dr Alex Andema revealed that the project is funded by world bank through central government at a tone of 1.9 billion Ugx, with the initial budget of 4.5 billion Ugx in addition to the project procurement of equipment's for the blood bank including the vehicles with the balance of 1.6 billion Ugx.
The in-charge of blood bank of Arua Regional Referral hospital, Isaac Atiku said that the building will easy work for them and also urged the contractor to finish the work timely.
Resident City Commissioner of Arua city, Alice Akello appealed to the contractor to do quality work and also cautioned the health workers against the theft of hospital equipments.
Mr. Sunday Olise, the General Executive Officer Development infrastructure pledged to deliver quality work.
The scope of the project are; blood bank , staff house that has four units, bed, kitchen and washrooms.
