Arua Diocese is in need of over 1.2 billion for the constructions of the elder and sick clergy’s Nursing home and renovation of Maracha elderly priest home plus the renovation of bishop palace.
This communication was made during the Arua Diocese local development donors engagement forum held on Friday 30th/12/2022 at the Bishop Residence, the finance administrator of Arua diocese, Mr. Francis Savior Okuni revealed that they need over 45.9 million Ugx for the renovation of the Elderly home for the priests in Maracha district, 190 million Ugx for the renovations of the bishop palace and 1 billion ugx for the constructions of the Elderly and sick priests nursing home.

Arua diocese is currently having 8 vicarates, 60 parishes, 183 priests, 58 seminarians, the diocese consultant, Benard Awich explained that they are intending to build an Elderly and sick nursing home for the priests that will contains 30 self-contained bed rooms, indoors games and Tv screens and care units rooms among others.
Some of the members who attended the meeting pledged to begin paying 1 million shillings with others 2.5 Million UGX until the completion of the projects. The area member of parliament of Obongi county, Hon George Bukka who chaired the meeting says that as member of parliament in the sub region they shall contribute one million shilling each and pledged on behalf of the parliament to invite Rt Rev Bishop Sabino Odoki Ochan in parliament for the fund raising of the projects.
The RT Rev, Sabino Ochan Odoki, the bishop of Arua district called upon the Christians to support the project.
Arua diocese was founded in 1958,it was curved out of Gulu Diocese and it serves nine districts of West Nile sub region.
