Based on our previous article in reference to Onduparaka FC pinning the Uganda football governing body FUFA and UPL Management over the irregularities on the 2022/2023 UPL season ficture which were released yesterday. 

FUFA in response has pointed the final ruling of the appeal as the body upholds it decision to implicate Arua Based Onduparaka to play 5 of its home games out of Ababet greenlight stadium, loss 2 points and goals upon comensement of the 2022/2023 UPL season. In a statment that dailywestnile.info has obtaained, FUFA states; 

The FUFA Appeals Committee has upheld the decision passed by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel on 14th June 2022 against Onduparaka FC for breach of Article 31(10) of the FUFA Competitions Rules during their home league match with Arua Hill SC on 6th May 2022 at Green Light Stadium in Arua.

The FUFA Appeals Committee established that Onduparaka FC did not furnish sufficient evidence to convince the Committee to overturn the decision.
The decision and sanctions passed by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel on the 14th of June 2022 are maintained in their entirety as below;

1. A deduction of two points and two goals which shall be implemented upon commencement of the 2022/2023 Uganda Premier League season despite the presence of the suspended one point and one goal deduction.
2. Playing 5 home games behind closed doors outside the West Nile Province shall be implemented upon commencement of the 2022/2023 Uganda Premier league season. The games will be played in a neutral stadium cleared by the Club Licensing Committee for use during Uganda Premier League matches.
