South African Court Drops Micho's Sexual Harrasment Case

South African court of appeal has acquired Uganda Senior National Football team head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic was previously charged on accounts of sexual harassment on a one Sibabalo Diba. This new twist of justice follows his appeal to the Grahamstone High Court, South Africa.

The Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) Regional Court had sentenced him to two separate three-year jail terms, both of which had been suspended for five years.
The Serbian coach immediately appealed the ruling and strenuously denied the charges against him. “After close scrutiny and careful considerations of all merits presented by my legal team, the High Court handed down a judgment of my ACQUITTAL,” partly reads a statement from the tactician.

“I was duly found NOT GUILTY on all charges that I was sentenced on which overturned the initial sentence and pronounced on my TOTAL INNOCENCE on ALL counts of charges and pronouncing SUCCESS of MY APPEAL.”

The incidents happened in December 2020 while he was still coach of the Zambian national team, and was in South Africa to watch the regional COSAFA Under-20 Cup. 

It was said that Micho had both verbally and physically assaulted the 39-year-old woman, who was delivering coffee at the Wolfson Stadium.

Then, the woman alleged that Micho had told her he preferred a “different type of sugar” before touching her in an appropriate manner later on.
