Its back and great again, the second round of the 2022/2023 Startimes Uganda Premier Leaque Action as the Tax Collectors kick off the second round of the Startimes Uganda Premier League this evening at against Onduparaka FC at the Greenlight Stadium in Arua.

Just like it was at the start of the ongoing season, URA FC began the season against Onduparaka FC in a barren stalemate tie at Nakisunga Saza Ground.

This time as the reverse fixture, the bottom rock Onduparaka FC are welcoming the tax Collectors to test the second round having signed over 5 players during the just concluded January Windows.

The tax collectors will be hoping to build on their record at the Greenlight Stadium that has seen them win twice and four draws.

URA FC sit in 11th place on 14 points from 14 games while the hosts sit rock bottom on 7 points from the same number of games.


This will be the 13th meeting between both sides since 2016 with URA FC registering 6 wins, 5 draws and 1 loss.

Onduparaka FC is still uncertain about the 18 man squad for the game however according to the official team news from Onduparaka Basement, all the players are fit except for Okech who has some injury.

Onduparaka FC is getting into this game as a built up team having been more of new lads coming in to test the worth upon been signed this January Transfer Window with key focus on the new winger Bida Ezra whose partnership with Okocha Rashida shall be a keen look. 

The Green army, Onduparaka FC have been in a series of draw spell having won only One game out of the last 14 half draws of the season of Startimes Uganda Premier League.

New signings Joseph Ssemujju, Alfred Leku, Nicholas Kabonge and Joshua Letti Lubwama all travelled with the team to Arua and are in line for their league Debut while Bruno Junior Bunyaga is out.

Youngster Sunday Andabati is also in line of making his debut after being issued his license while captain Nafian Alionzi is set to return in goal after missing our disappointing Uganda cup round 64 tie in midweek.

The Tax collectors are coming into this game as a struggling team as well as they start the second half of the season with 14 points with only two wins registered.

“We are set for Onduparaka FC, we know we are away and we know we are not in a position we are supposed to be in so this match is so important to us as a team and we shall handle it with care.”

He said in the pre match press conference.

Skipper Nafian Alionzi likewise believes against Onduparaka it won’t be easy but with teamwork they will work out results.
