Top of the table leaders NEC FC in rainy day match in Kampala saw the game played at the Bugolobi Coffee grounds on a water logged pitch which caused a lot of issues with poor ball and player movement throughout the game
The first half saw many chances created in a very open game but NEC FC had the better half creating more and having more attempts on goal too.
Derrick Sekiranda the striker for NEC FC had a couple of headers easily saved by the Mbarara City goalkeeper.
Sekayi Farouk of NEC missed a glorious chance to tap in captain Kavuma’s low cross infront of goal as he tapped it over the bar.
Mbarara City’s Kyeyune Meddie attempted a beautiful overhead kick that flashed across goal as they were limited in front of goal by the NEC defense.

Kitegenyi Henry attempted a long range free kick that went straight into the gloves of NEC goalkeeper Jeans Braddy Wokorach that concluded a goalless first half.
The second half was more of the same story as both sides became more conservative holding on to the single point.
Kavuma Marvin connected from a Mwanje cross but his header late in the game went over the bar.
Mbarara City’s striker Kitegenyi darted through the NEC defense beating two defenders clear of goal but dragged his shot way wide of Wokorach’s goal.
Mbarara City had the last say of the game as a glorious chance fell to Mugweri Johnny inside the box after rather weak punch from the NEC goalkeeper dropped for the Mbarara City center back tapped the ball over the bar sealing the fate of a goalless draw.
NEC FC remain top of the table with 10 points from four games and Mbarara City moved in second ahead of Kitara into second spot with 8 points.
NEC FC visit Kitara in the next fixture.
