In a shocking incident that has left the community in grief, the police in Pakwach are actively investigating the murder of a 40-year-old businesswoman, Acen Everlyn, a resident of Lubiri B village. The unfortunate event occurred on Saturday, November 18, 2023, when Acen was stabbed to death on the spot by a suspected 40-year-old man. 

The distressing incident was brought to the attention of the authorities by the General Secretary of Lubiri B village, Puvungu West Ward, Pakwach District. According to reports, Acen succumbed instantly to the fatal stabbing. Josephine Angucia, the police spokesperson for the West Nile Region, 

disclosed that the suspect managed to escape the scene, leaving behind a community in shock. The lifeless body of the deceased was promptly transported to Pakwach Health Center IV for a thorough postmortem examination. Angucia further explained that, at this point, the motive behind the brutal killing remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing under Pakwach CRB 447/2023. 

In a disturbing turn of events, some enraged members of the community, driven by emotions, retaliated by setting fire to the suspect's residence. During the police search of the suspect's house, a magazine containing cartridges of burnt bullets was discovered, raising questions about the potential involvement of firearms in the incident. 

As inquiries progress, the police are diligently working to piece together the circumstances surrounding Acen Everlyn's tragic demise. The community is urged to remain vigilant and cooperative as law enforcement seeks justice for the grieving family. The aftermath of this shocking incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for swift and thorough investigations into cases of violence. The community mourns the loss of a businesswoman, and the police are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice.
