Afro Wine, whose real name is Alokore Mustapha, is a renowned singer, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker hailing from the heart of West Nile. Born to a Kakwa father, Alokore Kassim (RIP), and a Lugbara mother, Ayaru Sharipha, Afro Wine carries the rich cultural heritage of both ethnicities. He was born on the 23rd of March, a date that would go on to mark the birth of a musical legend. Afro Wine is the fourth child in a family of six, and growing up, music was a constant presence in his life, echoing the diverse influences around him.

His educational path started at Arua Hill Primary School, where he first began to show signs of an artistic flair. He later proceeded to St. Joseph College Ombachi for his O-levels, then to Mvara S.S for his A-levels, which laid a foundation for his academic journey. Afro Wine’s passion for development and societal change led him to pursue a Bachelor of Development Studies at the Islamic University in Uganda, a course that would go on to influence his approach to both his music and business ventures.While his educational pursuits were important, his true calling lay in the world of music, which he felt an undeniable connection to. This connection would later transform him from a mere music lover to one of the most influential artists in the West Nile region.
